TRAINING
Hypnosis is a simple, effective method of treating many
disorders which people find difficult to treat by other methods. It
increases self-esteem and self-control and the ability to handle stress,
and promotes relaxation without any side effects.
Nobody
can ever be hypnotized against their will and, even when hypnotized,
people can still reject any of the suggestions given if they are not
appropriate. Anyone who can concentrate can easily enter hypnosis. It
is an altered state of awareness which is similar to the moments before
entering sleep. In hypnosis, the subject never loses control, and will
not act against their wishes. In therapy, hypnosis can be used to find
hidden blocks from the past and help to release unnecessary negative
messages. It is a very effective method for increasing confidence and
boosting self-esteem and helps motivate individuals to find maximum
fulfilment, happiness and joy in their lives. Hypnosis is particularly
effective in dealing with everyday stress problems, before they become
major health crises.
Your
mind is wide awake, but your body is completely relaxed. You feel a
tremendously pleasant state of relaxation and an altered state of consciousness,
allowing you to accept the beneficial suggestions given by the therapist,
which will act directly on the unconscious.
HOW
HYPNOSIS WORKS
You
will be able to take your time to discuss any problem that you have
and the hypnotherapist will then tell you what will happen in the session.
You will be allowed to relax into a comfortable position and then told
to focus on and relax your feet, then your legs, torso and arms and
finally your head, by which time you will be very relaxed indeed. This
in itself is very helpful in regulating the body and bringing the body
into a state of equilibrium. It is particularly helpful for people with
stress and anxiety. Following this, the therapist will take you on a
guided meditation to relax your mind further and allow the mind to dialogue
with the problem using different counselling techniques.. Following
the work you will then awaken feeling refreshed and relaxed and motivated
with a change in subconscious programming, such that your subconscious
mind will have been able to integrate new thoughts and behaviours and
feelings. You will continue with your life feeling more able to handle
your problems on your own.
Hypnotherapy is a particularly effective treatment for psychosomatic
problems.
Medical
research today acknowledges that all illness involves a mental component,
and there is a strong link between the mind and the body. Many physical
problems have underlying psychological predisposing factors. Hypnosis,
which access the subconscious, is an invaluable aid for the resolution
of many problems of psychological origin, and is often successful when
other more conventional methods of treatment have failed.
For example: Breaking
unwanted habits such as smoking, alcoholism, drug abuse, nail biting,
stuttering, gambling, food addictions obtaining relief and often rescission
from symptoms such as asthma, migraine, gastrointestinal and neurological
disorders, dermatological conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis,
herpes simplex and even warts.
Gynaecological problems can be worked on using hypnosis - PMT, amenorrhoea,
dysmenorrhea, psychogenic infertility, and in obstetrics for painless
childbirth. Obviously, it is extremely helpful in painful situations
and especially in pain control, for minor surgery, dentistry, arthritis
and general neuromuscular aches and pains.
Hypnosis can free the individual from phobias, compulsions, emotional

Jealousy, Insomnia, inhibitions etc... all have strong roots deep within
the subconscious.

WHAT IS FAMILY THERAPY?
When there is a problem in the family, it is helpful if all the members
of that family come in together. Patterns of interaction can then be
discussed and problems talked through with the therapist showing the
way to healthier communication and behaviour patterns. If a child is
"acting out" this is often a symptom of a dysfunction within
the family as a whole.
